WE’RE HIRING: INTERN REQUIRED (2025/26, PRETORIA)
Fruit South Africa is an umbrella body of fruit industry associations and strives for a competitive, equitable, and sustainable fruit industry.
Fruit SA requires a professional, younger than 30, organised, self-motivated, and results-driven intern. The individual must be able to deal with complexity, eager to learn, enthusiastic, and curious.
Responsibilities:
- Providing general support to the Industry Affairs Manager and the CEO and standing in for the Executive Office Administrator when required.
- Conducting research on the latest industry trends and providing relevant analyses.
- Compiling and/or updating the industry statistics booklet that contains current industry information for all relevant stakeholders.
- Representing the organisation at industry events and drafting reports that detail those events.
- Communication with stakeholders and management of the Citrus Industry Trust-related matters.
Qualifications:
- The incumbent must hold a BAgric or BSc Degree in;-
- Agricultural Economics
- Or any field of study related to the fruit industry value chain.
Requirements:
- Computer literacy
- A good understanding of:
- the agriculture and fruit industry value chains, and supply chains
- international and local markets o the agriculture industry of South Africa
- The ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and public speaking skills
- Good time management skills
Good organisational and planning skills - A problem solver
- Numerical aptitude
- Report writing skills
- Able to work under pressure
