Luhlaza Advisory and Consulting (Pty) Ltd is a niche Earth Sciences consultancy providing geotechnical, geological, and geohydrological solutions across Southern Africa and beyond. Our work spans critical infrastructure, mining, water, and environmental sectors-driven by technical excellence and innovation.
We are offering a 24-month fixed-term internship for recent graduates eager to learn quickly, think critically, and make a difference in the field. This great opportunity allows you to work alongside seasoned professionals, contribute to active projects, and gain comprehensive exposure to the consulting industry.
What You’ll Gain:

Duties and Responsibilities:
What You’ll Be Doing;-
- Assist with geotechnical and geohydrological investigations.
- Support core logging, drilling supervision and geological mapping.
- Help compile field reports, manage samples, and coordinate field schedules.
- Capture, organize, and analyse field and lab data.
- Contribute to proposal preparation and real-world problem solving.
- Work across disciplines-including lab, geology, geohydrological, and engineering teams.
Requirements:
You Must Have;-
- A BSc Honours Degree in;-
- Geology,
- Engineering Geology, or
- Geohydrology.
- South African citizenship and a valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel and work in the field, both locally and internationally.
- Solid communication skills and computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A growth mindset, curiosity, and adaptability.
- Willingness to work across multiple disciplines.
