MINTEK invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for Internship Programme 2024 / 2025.
Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified persons for contract appointment to the position of: INTERN X 2 REF: BMD/2024/EXT BIOMETALLURGY DIVISION.
Objective:
To provide suitable candidate with an opportunity to obtain piloting skills and experience with scale up of processes.
Daily Duties and Tasks:
- Routine maintenance tasks for Mintek’s bioleach piloting testwork
- Responsible for pilot equipment and reactor component maintenance
- Assistance with routine tasks on pilot-scale commercial and research projects
- Work at Mintek’s off-site demonstration plants for operation and maintenance of the plant (when required)
- Sampling and analysis of laboratory and plant samples
Qualifications and Experience:
- BEng/BScEng in Chemical Engineering.
- Excellent Academic Record with 60% academic average.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and individually
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Computer literate
