Job Description

Novus Print seeks to appoint a diligent Facilities Intern in the facilities Department. This position is based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. This opportunity is ideal for a student studying towards a qualification and requires in service training/work exposure for a period of 12 months.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist the facilities department with the maintenance, repairing, and improvement of our premises and its equipment. This includes;-
- Inspecting the facility regularly and reporting any issues or hazards,
- Coordinating with vendors, contractors & technicians to schedule and monitor repairs and installations.
- Monitor and manage the facilities ticketing system.
- Ensuring queries are assigned, escalated, and followed up timeously.
- Responding to requests and complaints from employees and visitors regarding the facility.
- Supporting logistics for staff movements, events, and facilities-related projects.
- Labelling and recording of all company office furniture and equipment.
Educational Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Studying towards a 3-year Degree or equivalent Diploma in Facilities Management
Skills and Competencies:
- Methodical and thorough approach to work.
- Problem Solving and analytically oriented.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail orientated and work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Highly organised, flexible and ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks.
- Intermediate computer literacy.
