The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:


Instrumentation Technician Intern

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of Instrumentation and related equipment.
  • Install, inspect, calibrate, service and maintain instruments up to and including component level.
  • To interpret engineering design drawings, check for elementary errors and manufacturability and compile Bills of material for purchasing materials needed for maintenance and installation.
  • Install and maintain instrument field devices.
  • Testing of the modules and loop checks.
  • To maintain safe work procedures (monthly SHE inspection).
  • To inspect, service, repair and overhaul field devices and ensure that machines are kept in good running conditions.
  • Basic PLC programming skill (Siemens)
  • To assist electronic and electrical departments if and when required.
Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation.
  • Good insight in the step-by-step operations of machinery & processes.
  • Good knowledge & understanding of field devices used i.e., sensors, level sensing, pressures, temperatures, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good fault finding and trouble shooting skills
  • Be available for standby duties and overtime when and as needed.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels.

Industrial Engineering Interns x 4

The Industrial Engineering Intern will learn and contribute to the delivery of industrialisation activities, ensuring production readiness. Perform continuous improvement initiatives in order to achieve Quality, Cost and Safety targets. Perform continuous improvement initiatives in order to achieve Quality, Cost and Safety targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform time studies for the workshops in order to define standard method/cycle times
  • Perform Line balancing
  • MBOM/ PBOM creation and validation
  • Develop work instructions, facility layouts and process flows
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform safety risk assessments.
Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed S4 subjects in Industrial Engineering or National Diploma
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering would also be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge in work-study, operations management, facilities and material handling
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools and advance Excel
  • High analytical with excellent communication
  • Active team player, achievement & deadline orientation and process driven.
  • Innovative ideas
  • Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Time management skills
