Job Title: Procurement Internship and Analytical Chemistry Internship
1. Procurement Internship
Sappi offers a one-year Procurement Internship for recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement.
This program provides hands-on, meaningful experience in a wide range of Procurement functions under the guidance of skilled mentors, helping candidates transition smoothly into the professional world.
The main responsibilities of the job:
– Maintain vendor contract, contact and service level master data including BBBEE records.
– Source, procure and expedite delivery of materials as instructed according to Sappi’s standard operating procedures.
– Prepare procurement reports.
– Report supplier non-conformance in terms of their contract obligations or service levels.
Requirements:
– Grade 12/Matric qualification.
– Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics or Procurement.
– No prior experience required.
– Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
2. Analytical Chemistry Internship
Sappi offers a one-year internship opportunity for recent graduate in Chemistry.
This program provides hands-on, meaningful experience under the guidance of skilled mentors, helping candidates transition smoothly into the professional world.
The main responsibilities of the job:
– Assist with laboratory and pilot plant experiments using Sappi’s standard operating procedures.
– Operate bench-top and pilot scale equipment.
– Generate data and conduct basic analysis.
– Report data from experiments and field testing in written reports and presentations.
– Participate in maintenance and troubleshooting of pilot plant equipment.
Requirements:
– Grade 12/Matric qualification.
– Diploma (Requiring P1 and P2) or Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
– No prior experience required.
– Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
