The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) invites unemployed graduates to apply for Strategic Research and Planning (SRP) Internships / Internship Programme for 2025-2027.

Job Type: Graduate Internship
Duration: 24 months
Salary: R11 172.49 monthly stipend

This two-year internship will give young graduates exposure in the Strategy, Research, and Planning (SRP) Unit at SHRA’s Johannesburg office. It is designed to provide unemployed South African graduates under 35 years with valuable workplace experience.
About SHRA:
The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) is a Schedule 3A public entity under the Department of Human Settlements, established in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). Its mandate is to regulate and promote rental social housing for low- to medium-income households as per the Social Housing Act No. 16 of 2008.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and review of strategic plans and frameworks.
- Support with performance monitoring and evaluations of SHRA programmes and projects.
- Conduct policy research and contribute to policy reviews and recommendations.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documents for internal and external use.
- Provide administrative support to the SRP unit.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant qualification in;-
- Public Policy,
- Strategic Planning,
- Research,
- Social Sciences,
- Or related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Analytical thinking with attention to detail.
- South African citizen under 35 years of age.
