YC: HR and Training Administrator

We are looking for an HR and Training Administrator to support our Human Resources department. Your main administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR and training procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our HR department supports our employees while conforming to labor laws.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Organise and maintain personnel records
  • Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)
  • Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides
  • Assist with preparing slide deck for onboarding of new employees
  • Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
  • Answer employees queries about HR-related issues
  • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
  • Participate in HR projects and HR Events arrangements (e.g. help organise a job fair event)
  • Support internal Training department with administration and training arrangements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Human Resources Diploma
  • Previous work experience in HR and Training environment will be advantageous

YC: Aftermarket Administrative Coordinator

The Administrative Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing administrative tasks in the aftermarket environment at our OEM for commercial vehicles. This position involves handling various administrative duties, supporting mechanical operations, and with full computer literacy to maintain efficient workflows. Success in this role looks like streamlined administrative processes, effective support for regional managers teams, and enhanced overall productivity within the dealer network.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage and organise administrative tasks related to the aftermarket environment.
  • Support regional managers operations by coordinating schedules, documentation, and communication.
  • Maintain and update records, databases, and inventory systems.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of new processes and technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent service.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 0-2 years’ experience in an administrative role within the automotive industry, preferably in an aftermarket environment.
  • Language: Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently (essential).

YC: Parts Administrator

This role is to support the Commercial Parts team and UD dealers with administration duties, reporting, pricing and promotional actions.

  • Parts specials & campaign
  • Manage Truck Sales promotions where parts are involved
  • Reporting, Lubricant performance vs budgets
  • Monthly parts export sales

  • Dealer Challenge targets
  • Annual trends analysis
  • Compilation at year-end of historical dealer purchase data
  • Dealer communication, Campaigns & promotions
  • Bulletins, Policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a Technical and or Financial Qualification/ background and interest in Automotive Industry.

YC: Vehicle Sales Administrator

This role will support, New Vehicle Sales administrative function, verifying data submitted by the network; reconciling the information for payments; update and follow up on stock yard maintenance and the UD Trucks Dealer Incentive program.

Responsibilities and Duties :

VMS Payment Process

  • Confirm all the data and documentation has been uploaded on LSS.
  • Verify data integrity.
  • Reconcile payment and follow up with outstanding dealers.
  • Documentation and Recons to be supplied to Business Control for final verification and payment.

Stock Yard Maintenance

  • Weekly follow up of stock and maintenance due on vehicles.
  • Weekly reporting and communicating with dealers responsible for maintenance
  • Review and status feedback

Geared for Succes Incentive Program

  • Review and confirm that Dealer sales executives comply to the requirements
  • Review suggested incentive payments from the supplier
  • Reconcile and feedback

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • At least 2 years’ experience accounting and report writing
  • Multinational company experience is essential
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • PC and MS Office proficient; Power Bi
  • Accounting and Dealer Management System experience

YC: IT End User Support

industry. We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Candidate to provide end user support, troubleshoot defects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives for our IT applications. This role involves assisting users, resolving incidents, and ensuring the smooth operation of assigned applications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

User Support & Incident Management

  • Provide technical support to users by addressing system-related queries and resolving incidents.
  • Identify and analyse software issues, proposing solutions or temporary workarounds to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Document and track issues in accordance with Incident Management best practices.
  • Assist in explaining system capabilities and improving user adoption of applications.
  • Ensure adherence to service level commitments and support agreements.

Process Improvement & System Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Analyse application-related problems using root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in maintenance planning, deployment activities, and post-implementation support.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives by documenting best practices and creating support articles.

Technical & Business Understanding

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of business processes supported by IT applications.
  • Develop a solid grasp of application integrations and dependencies to facilitate issue resolution.
  • Support multiple business areas and engage with stakeholders to optimise system usage.
  • Follow DevOps principles and Lean methodologies to enhance IT processes.

Automation & Innovation

  • Identify repetitive tasks that can be automated to improve efficiency.
  • Explore and leverage advanced technologies such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and Chatbots for process improvements.

YC: Market and Customer Analyst

This position will support with the compilation of Market data and Market Intelligence, support the organisation with analysis and distribution of raw data.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support in market analysis and business environment in current and new technologies
  • Support in customer data file maintenance and analyses for Sales force implementation
  • Support with customer analysis
  • Support Sales and aftersales in business scenarios to improve the use of Salesforce actively
  • Update and improve all sales reporting; Update Data and Power Bi Reporting, also improve reporting according to the company requirements.

YC: Environmental Officer

This position will support the vehicle assembly process to achieve quality and environmental targets according to the set UDTO specifications

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure that jigs fixtures, tools, material handling equipment and lifting gear conform to occupational health and Safety Act (OHS Act) specifications.
  • To specify the production system to internal customers (production and logistics) to direct their daily operations. Initiate and participate on Problem solving (QRPS)
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental laws (e.g., ISO 14001, air and water quality standards, hazardous waste regulations).
  • Continuously perform internal audits to ensure compliance to UDPS, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015
  • Conduct environmental audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to legal and corporate requirements.
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory bodies and corporate stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with changes in environmental regulations affecting the automotive industry.
  • Develop and implement waste management strategies, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.

YC: Special Vehicle Development (Draughtsman)

This function reside in the Special Vehicle Development (SVD) division in UD Trucks Southern Africa.

SVD is a technology function responsible for:

  • The successful development/release/integration of components/component systems – for both CKD and local components
  • Internal technical support provided to the production assembly process as well as to the sales/aftermarket functions
  • External technical support provided to the market – dealers/ bodybuilders/ customers

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create 3D CAD models / 2D drawings of concept components
  • Provide technical and/or hands-on assistance as required for SVD day-to-day activities
  • Coordinate with external test laboratories/test houses
  • Influence to use correct test methods, tools
  • Collaborate with PQE / UDTO / BB/ UDTT/ IPS/ External test Labs/ Dealers
  • Assist with qualification of superstructures by external MIB’s
  • Assist with vehicle/ component testing as required
  • PQE(Product Quality Insurance)/ UDTO(UD Truck Operations)/ BB(Bodybuilders)/ UDTT(UD Trucks Technology)/ IPS(Purchasing)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • National Diploma/ Higher Diploma / BSc Degree in;-
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Automotive Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Driving license B/EB

Key Competencies:

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD – Autocad / Solid Edge/ Creo
  • Experience in truck/truck systems and quality improvement functions will be advantageous
  • Acumen on truck service & troubleshooting through data loggers will be advantageous
  • Truck parts knowledge will be advantageous
  • Should enjoy learning on the fly and working in dynamic conditions
  • Person with good troubleshooting skills & passion to provide solution
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Possess logical reasoning skill
  • Need to be technically orientated with good report writing skills
