BUYER – FRUIT & PACKAGING (FIRGROVE, CAPE TOWN)
Seeking a proactive and skilled Buyer with a strong hands-on approach and excellent negotiation abilities. The ideal candidate will engage with existing suppliers, including farmers, pack houses, and packaging vendors, while also expanding our network to meet increasing demands. This role involves price negotiations, seasonal contracts, and ensuring the timely supply of fresh fruit and packaging materials during peak seasons.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in fruit or vegetable procurement, ideally in an industrial setting.
- Degree in Agriculture or BCom with an agricultural focus.
- Willingness to travel locally with potential overnight stays.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, or Pastel Evolution.
- Own transport and a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Afrikaans or other languages is advantageous.
