An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Manager – Market Expansion SA Outbound to join our Team.



The main purpose of this role is to foster newly developed corridors across all territories and to facilitate building up the healthy ecosystems internally and externally; To form the strategy, identify key marketing opportunities, shape our offers, and set up the right team to implement Mukuru global expansion strategy.

The Senior Manager: Market Expansion SA Outbound directly reports to the Head of Sales and Operation. This position is responsible for fostering all new remittance corridors across all territories SA Outbound. The set-up of healthy ecosystems during the growth phase will be facilitated by the Senior Manager: Market Expansion SA Outbound. This position is required to identify the marketplace opportunities and challenges globally so that the company product offers can be shaped accordingly. This person is also responsible for setting out a vision and implementation plan for the global expansion strategy. The job content includes forming the strategy based on the insights from the data and report, the proposal of strategic products, the global team structure, development of partnership and championing our capabilities to the right direction.

Internal Liaison takes place with internal staff, customer service, training, business development, IT, marketing, BI and finance teams. External liaison takes place with service providers, partners, and global markets.



Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but is not limited to;-

  • Generating market research for new corridor in various territories
  • Generating competitors’ analysist for various territories
  • Working with business development department to educate relevant stakeholders in terms of product knowledge
  • Working with price analyst to gauge correct price to compete in the market
  • Strategizing for the new corridor and market
  • Initiating new business
  • Identifying the business process
  • Testing the business process
  • Researching the internal and external ecosystem
  • Proposing the new ecosystem if needed
  • Building the new system if required
  • Analysing the data and relevant report
  • Interpreting the data and report
  • Gaining the insight from research
  • Form the strategy and implementation plan
  • Observing marketing opportunities and challenges
  • Shaping our offers
  • Proposing improving plans to various departments
  • Monitoring the effect after improvement
  • Adjusting the plan if needed
  • Conducting global market and industrial trend research
  • Proposing global expansion strategy
  • Implementing global expansion strategy after approval
  • Proposing strategic products
  • Proposing the global team structure and skills for the new corridors and territories-based analysis
  • Developing global partnership
  • Negotiating the terms and conditions with the partners
  • Championing company capabilities to the right direction



Key Requirements:

  • Completed Post Grad qualification in Economics, Engineering or Finance. (Essential)
  • Highly advantageous: completed MBA qualification. (Essential)
  • 10 years’ experience in the Financial / International business/management consulting (Essential)
  • Of which 5 years mid-senior management experience (Essential)
  • Knowledge of, remittances, financial services and foreign exchange principles
  • Knowledge of remittance processes and systems
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Knowledge of marketing and brand
  • Knowledge of data interpretation
  • Knowledge of business development
  • Knowledge of Global Strategy and international business
