Nvirotek is recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant Level 1 to assist with the intake and physical handling of all samples upon receipt, ensuring proper preparation for laboratory intake.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with sample receipt by carrying containers with samples to designated reception areas per sample type.
- Ensure sample are unpacked in correct areas and in time.
- Physical/Initial preparation of samples for analyses.
- Proper storage of bulk samples.
- Assist in other areas when time allows or as needed.
- Assist in preparation and testing of all disciplines throughout the laboratory achieved by assistance.
- Responsible to adhere to requirements: Health and safety, ISO and housekeeping.
- In-house training on relevant procedures will be done, competency to be proven within one month.
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate.
- Eager to learn.
- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
