Samancor invites unemployed people to apply for MFC HR Practitioner Systems Position for 2024.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To maintain HR systems as well as to support and participate in SAP System process improvements. To provide HR generalist support to the Business Unit.

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

  • Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
  • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
  • Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
  • Utilise the Integrated Management Systems (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

PEOPLE

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and train stakeholders on system functionality

CUSTOMERS
Ensure Internal and External customer satisfaction by delivering SLA output effectively

  • Interact with stakeholders to identify and pro-actively address operational concerns or issue
  • Participate in engagement events and activities

BUSINESS PROCESSES:

SAP Business Processes

  • Navigate SAP HR environment
  • Execute all Personnel actions on SAP – Engagements, Transfers, Promotions, Terminations
  • Create new positions
  • Maintain the HR SAP Master Data
  • Compile standardized HR reports per required frequency
  • Update and maintain all HR information systems e.g. SAP, Org Charts, FLOW
  • Compile, collate and report relevant HR statistics
  • Analyse and interpret statistics and make appropriate proposals based on findings

Systems Implementation

  • Implement, maintain, and manage all HR related systems
  • Optimize systems for maximum functioning and reporting
  • Perform systems audits to ensure accuracy of data
  • Continuously improve systems for optimal functionality

Recruitment And Selection

  • Draft recruitment adverts for vacancies
  • Coordinate the screening and shortlisting process
  • Arrange and conduct recruitment interviews
  • Prepare the Recruitment and Offer file
  • Update the Recruitment Tracker

Engagements And Onboarding

  • Draft offers of employment
  • Prepare employment contracts and supporting documentation
  • Maintain employee salaries
  • Implement and maintain Operator and Artisan models
  • Analyse salaries and propose appropriate remuneration strategies
  • Prepare increase schedules
  • Prepare increase and amendment letters
  • Manage temporary labour workforce
  • Coordinate the Induction and Onboarding process

Benefits Administration

  • Assist with benefits administration (Medical Aid and Provident Funds)

Exit Process

  • Prepare and conduct exit interviews (C-Band and lower) and report findings
  • Administer the employee exit processes and compile exit statistics

General

  • Compile employee turnover statistics (monthly)
  • Compile absenteeism reports for departments
  • Ensure monthly payroll input is processed and submitted per payroll timelines
  • Ensure accurate and on time submission of all month end report requirements
  • Ensure all HR documents are filed/stored in line with related policy
  • Champion related internal and external HR audits
  • Work overtime as and when required
  • Participate in HR Standby
  • Any ad hoc HR tasks and/or projects that may be required

GROWTH

  • Manage continuous improvement through Operational Excellence

SHAREHOLDER VALUE

  • Prepare Manning Budgets and assist with HR Departmental Budget

Minimum Qualification And Experience

  • Relevant HR Higher Certificate (NQF 5) or National Diploma (NQF 6)
  • 4 years’ relevant HR experience
  • Minimum of 1 year SAP HR System Administration experience
  • Proficient in MS Office – advanced Excel skills
