The Finance Graduate will gain practical experience by assisting the Finance Team with various financial tasks, developing core skills through on-the-job training.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Creditors:
- Process invoices, verify documentation, and ensure payments are authorized.
- Monitor outstanding payments and reconcile creditor accounts.
- Handle supplier queries and maintain accurate records.
Debtors:
- Prepare and issue invoices/statements to customers.
- Follow up on payments and address customer queries.
- Maintain an accurate filing system and reconcile debtor accounts.
General Finance & Administration:
- Maintain general and sub-ledgers, process journal entries, and assist with financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audits and month-end financial processing.
- Assist with maintaining the company’s asset register and financial records.
Requirements:
- Education: BCom Accounting/Financial Management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience: First-time participation in an Internship/Graduate Program.
- Work Conditions: Willingness to work overtime, including weekends when required.
Key Skills:
- Technical Skills: Financial systems knowledge (NAV system), VAT regulations, and reporting.
- Communication & Interpersonal: Strong verbal and written skills, ability to interact with stakeholders.
- Analytical & Organisational: Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work under deadlines.
- Adaptability & Confidentiality: Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive data.
