TikTok Creator Intern
We are seeking a TikTok Creator Intern residing in Johannesburg, currently unemployed, and seeking to gain workplace experience to join our dynamic editorial team.
We’re offering an on-camera TikTok Video Creator Internship for a bold, creative, and Joburg-savvy content creator. You’ll be the face of our short-form video strategy, appearing in videos, creating trending content, and helping us connect with the city’s audience in fresh, relatable ways.

Be one of the faces and voices of JHB ETC’s TikTok and Shorts content, appearing in videos, presenting stories, and engaging the audience.

Journalist Intern
We are seeking a Journalist Intern residing in Cape Town, currently unemployed, and seeking to gain workplace experience to join our dynamic editorial team for Cape Etc. This role focuses on digital content but may also involve some work on the print magazines.
The successful candidate will be required to do the following:
- Generate story ideas daily
- Assist with fact-checking stories
- Assist with editorial tasks
- Assist in managing social media channels
- Attends events when required
- Other administrative tasks where relevant
- Consistently monitor the internet and social media platforms to identify and report on breaking and trending news stories in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in;-
- Media Studies,
- English and/or
- Journalism
- Proficiency in WordPress CMS and a Mac is beneficial
- Excellent writing, copy editing and organisational skills
- Able to work accurately under deadline pressure and willing to work overtime when necessary
- Proficiency in all major social media platforms

SEO and Content Creator Intern
We are currently seeking a SEO and Content Creator Intern to join our group.
The SEO intern writer will be working closely with our dedicated SEO specialist and will play a vital role in the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of client organic search campaigns. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in the field of SEO and digital marketing. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with a keen eye for detail, an inherent interest for digital marketing, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in conducting audits of existing websites to identify areas for improvement.
- Contributing to competitive research and benchmarking.
- Assisting with keyword research and mapping.
- Writing and optimising SEO-focused content.
- Assisting in the execution of on-page optimization strategies.
- Supporting link building outreach initiatives.
- Monitoring and evaluating SEO results and assisting in building reports on these results.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
