Safety Security Health and Environmental (SSHE) Graduate

As an SSHE Graduate, you will provide support in SSHE implementation, administration, and audits as part of an SSHE Graduate program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing an organization’s activities
  • Support SSHE administration by collecting and collating SSHE performance data on a monthly basis
  • Support SSHE compliance by populating the report templates and submitting the reports for approval
  • Administer SSHE training by and scheduling training in line with the matrix, coordinating relevant training and liaising with identified participants to confirm attendance
  • Assist with maintaining SSHE documents by capturing updates in procedures and other relevant compliance documents as per group standards and local legislation
  • Support SSHE legal compliance by monitoring, collecting and collating SSHE conformance (including incidents and accidents as required by legislation and SSHE standards) information
  • Support the SSHE Specialist/ Manager to monitor SSHE compliance of onsite contracted services providers when delivering services by  providing SSHE orientation and monitoring compliance against key standards
  • Support SSHE audits by sourcing and providing documentation and implementing identified actions and corrective measures in line with the improvement plan

Qualifications:

  • NQF 7 qualification in Safety, Health and Environment or relevant field

Legal & Compliance Graduate

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal and Compliance Graduate to join our Legal and Compliance teams at Roche Diagnostics (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in legal advisory, compliance monitoring, contract drafting, and regulatory affairs while working in a fast-paced and highly regulated industry. This role is ideal for a recent law graduate with a strong interest in corporate law, healthcare compliance, and data privacy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and provide interpretations of laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the diagnostics industry.
  • Assist in drafting legal opinions and advisory notes for internal stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and amend various legal agreements, including supplier contracts, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and partnership agreements.
  • Assist in compliance monitoring by ensuring adherence to internal policies and industry-specific laws, such as healthcare regulations, medical device laws, and ethical guidelines.
  • Support the implementation of compliance programs and risk assessments to identify potential legal and regulatory risks.
  • Ensure employees are informed of legal obligations through training and awareness initiatives.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with data protection laws (e.g., POPIA) within the company’s operations.
  • Support the development of data privacy policies and procedures to safeguard patient and customer information.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Maintain and organise legal documentation, licenses, and compliance records.

Application Specialist Graduate

The Application Specialist Graduate will be responsible for quickly learning and applying QC concepts, getting acquainted with different technologies, and mastering the instruments available in the field. This person must be a quick learner, highly motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to support our customers effectively.

The role is field based and available in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town locations. Please select your preferred location during the application process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of QC concepts and practices.
  • Learn and operate a variety of technologies and instruments used in the service department.
  • Work flexible hours to meet the demands of a 24-hour service environment.
  • Handle simple projects independently, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Shadow the field team to gain practical experience and insights.
  • Provide support to the field team and customers, ensuring high service standards are maintained.

  • National Diploma in Medical Sciences (NQF 6) or equivalent Medical Sciences degree or BTECH in Medical Sciences or equivalent (NQF 7)
  • 2 years’ experience in laboratory practices in Chemistry/Immunology or Haematology or Coagulation or Serology or Hospital point of care would be advantageous but not a requirement

Project Manager Graduate

You, as a Project Manager Graduate is responsible in gaining skills, capabilities and competencies for managing implementation projects. Responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and closure of projects overseeing the successful execution of multiple projects, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and that tasks are completed according to schedule.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and issues, and escalating them to senior project managers as needed.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Assist in the allocation and management of resources, ensuring that project teams have the necessary tools and support to complete tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and risk logs.
  • Assist in the creation of project dashboards and performance metrics to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and assist in the implementation of best practices.

Quality & Regulatory Graduate

As a Quality & Regulatory Graduate you will support Roche Dia’s compliance with ISO 13485 requirements and COREMAP documentation processes by assisting with ISO 13485 documentation from different departments, maintaining quality and regulatory records with a focus on Fusion (DIA & DC) and LumiraDx, supporting audits, and ensuring regulatory requirements are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in documentation, compliance, and quality management system (QMS) processes.
  • Maintaining and updating quality records, supporting internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting in the implementation of quality procedures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to ISO 13485 standards, contribute to process improvements, and support risk management activities.
  • Works cross-functionally in the Network to review with the different teams the document retention period and identifies the country exceptions in the Global Records & Information Classification (GRIC).
  • Builds the maintenance of record ownership into processes and supports record archiving and record inventories.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure that the DC and LumiraDx regulatory and quality documents have been incorporated into the DIA folders and archiving system.
  • Continuously assess and improve the quality management system to enhance efficiency and accuracy across all networks.

Sales Graduate

As a Sales Graduate you will develop account and portfolio strategies, identify and secure sales opportunities, build  relationships with key executive decision makers in customers to grow Roche market share in Gauteng but not limited only to this province.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quotations and management  of quotation admin: Quotations for list price customers
  • Managing and monitoring of customer communications (general price increase to  non-contract sites)
  • Communicating stock or logistical communications
  • Sending out Marketing Communications and General Communications to customers
  • Assisting customers with admin related tasks, Registration on Navify enquiries
  • Handling routing of enquiries with call centres and hotlines to relative Sales KAM
  • Processing FOC’s

External Affairs Graduate

Roche Diagnostics in South Africa has an exciting opportunity for a medical/science graduate to join their external affairs team to help drive increased access to quality in-vitro diagnostics across the Southern Africa Network!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in strengthening our medical function via process optimization in relation with HCP (Healthcare professional) and HCO (Healthcare Organization) interactions and engagements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop competencies covering system connectivity through the Unified Gateway hardware and applications by configuring testing and monitoring performance.
  • Develop skills in system networks between Roche solutions and LIS systems for the transmission of results.
  • Understand firewalls and Roche cyber security protocols, set-up firewalls and install at customer sites
  • To problem solve lab WF&IT systems to demonstrate your knowledge and developed capabilities, by receiving the problem, engaging with the related departments, identifying and testing the potential solutions and managing the implementation of the final solution as required

As a Network Lead Graduate you will work across the SAN Network functions as a project coordinator to improve process inefficiencies and internal SOP’s and internal policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work across all functions in identifying process inefficiencies and work on improving those to increase productivity and reduce process steps.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of key strategic projects in the network in line with the Network Leads guidance
  • Work closely with the Office of the Network Lead to ensure enterprise-wide governance is maintained in line with local legislation and required regulations to maintain our license to operate
  • Track key affiliate policies to ensure audit readiness  and audit success
  • Assist Office of the Network Lead and the SAN Leadership Team to work on initiatives to improve overall company culture and staff morale.
