Mafube Coal (Opencast Mine) is a Joint Venture (50/50) between Thungela & Exxaro Resources. The mine is situated 37km east of Middelburg in the Mpumalanga province. We mine coal, primarily for supply to the export market

The Role
The role is offering on the job experience to unemployed graduates.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include;-
- Completing a two (2) years practical on the job training programme.
- Completing and submitting monthly reports.
- Attending monthly meetings and presentations.
- Mentorship and coaching from qualified experts.
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Relevant qualification for the Internship applying for.
- Mine Planning
- National Diploma/Advanced Diploma/BTech/BEng/BSC in Mining Engineering
- National Diploma/Advance Diploma/BTech in Mine Survey
- VOHE
- National Diploma/Advanced Diploma/BTech/BEng/BSc in Mining Engineering
- EngineeringInformation Management (IM)
- BCom in Informatics/National Diploma in Information Technology (IT)/National Diploma in Information System
- Mine Planning
- A valid driver’s license.
- Sound knowledge of Safety Systems, Regulations, and standards with a high regard to safety.
- Must be able and willing to work shifts, standbys and call outs when required Must be in possession of or able to obtain a certificate of fitness.

- Computer Literacy
- Communication skills (Written and verbal)
- Planning and Organizing skills
- Ability to work under pressure, schedule and manage maintenance activities.
