Robben Island Museum (RIM) invites unemployed graduates to apply for Graduate Internships / Internship Programme for 2025 / 2026.

This is a twelve (12) months programme aimed towards attaining skills and experience from the workplace. The Robben Island Museum (RIM) Graduate programme is a structured work-based internship development programme focused on taking graduates from various Universities / University of Technologies or any Institution of Higher Learning through a structured work plan to expand their work experience.
Successful candidates will enter a twelve (12) months internship contract. The Graduates will enter a contract with RIM and be placed within the relevant departments within the museum for the duration of the internship.
Internship Opportunities are open for applications in the following Departments:
Heritage Department
Qualifications: Must have any of the following;-
- National Diploma / Degree in Audio Visual/ Multi-Media Studies
- National Diploma / Degree in Nature Conservation
- Postgraduate Diploma in Museum and Heritage Studies and Archives
Office of the CEO Department
Qualifications: Must have any of the following;-
- Bachelor’s Degree Legal / LLB
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration (Performance Planning & Evaluation)
Marketing & Tourism Department
Qualifications: National Diploma or Degree in;-
- Marketing
- Communications
- Public Relations
- Journalism
- Media Studies
Education Department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Librarian
Human Resources Department
Qualifications: Must have any of the following;-
- National Diploma / Degree in HR / Industrial Psychology
- National Diploma / Degree in Health & Safety
- Basic Life Support Qualification, registered with HPCSA, Code 10 Drivers license with PrDP and CPD compliant
Finance Department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
Finance Department
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in;-
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics
- Procurement
Operations Department
Qualifications: Must have a National Diploma or Degree in;-
- Public Relations Management
- Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) / Hospitality
Qualifications:
- National Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism
- B Tech in Facility Management
- BEng/ BSc Structural or Civil Engineering
- National Diploma or Degree in ICT / Information Systems / Computer Science or CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA certifications
