Internship IP2TIS 2025 – For students in the field of Health Economics, IT, Informatics, Public Health, Health Policy, Development Economics

The Opportunity
This project focuses on understanding the financial burden of diagnostics in Africa by analysing out-of-pocket (OOP) health expenditures. It will examine the extent of Out of Pocket (OOP) spending, insurance coverage gaps, and the risk of catastrophic health expenditure. The insights generated will inform policy recommendations, business strategies, and sustainable interventions to improve access to affordable diagnostics.
Qualifications:
You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one of the following fields;-
- Health Economics,
- IT,
- Informatics,
- Public Health,
- Health Policy,
- Development Economics,
- Or a related discipline.
Internship IP2TIS 2025 – For students in the field of Digital Health, Health Informatics, Biomedical Sciences, Business Administration

The Opportunity
This project will examine the role of digital health startups in enhancing access to diagnostics and care, with a focus on innovative applications at the Lab-Clinic and Patient-Lab interfaces. The intern will conduct a market mapping of health tech startups in Africa, assess key business models, and explore potential trends and engagement opportunities within the evolving digital health landscape.
Qualifications:
You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of;-
- Digital Health,
- Health Informatics,
- Biomedical Sciences,
- Business Administration,
- Or a related discipline
- within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the IVD Diagnostics industry.
Internship IP2TIS 2025 – For students in the field of Health Economics, Finance, Public Health, Supply Chain Management

The Opportunity
This project will explore the impact and value of pooled procurement and sustainable financing models to increase affordability and access to diagnostics across Africa with a focus on a select country. By evaluating existing procurement mechanisms, funding flows, and innovative financing approaches, the project will generate insights to guide Roche’s engagement in market-shaping initiatives and government collaborations.
Qualifications:
You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of;-
- Health Economics,
- Finance,
- Public Health,
- Supply Chain Management,
- Or a related discipline
- within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the IVD Diagnostics industry.
