About Us:

SOLTRAK is a performance monitoring and reporting platform dedicated to maximizing the value of operating renewable energy assets, with a strong focus on solar PV systems. Founded in 2021, SOLTRAK addresses challenges such as visibility, transparency, and accountability in the renewable energy sector. As an affiliate of SOLINK, SOLTRAK complements end-to-end project facilitation by providing ongoing performance oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior developers to build and maintain backend systems.
• Assist in designing and maintaining database structures for procurement data.
• Validate and process incoming data to ensure quality and reliability.
• Contribute to implementing data scaffolding to enable new features.
• Develop RESTful APIs for smooth communication between frontend and backend systems.
• Participate in testing and debugging to ensure the platform remains responsive and reliable.
• Implement logging and error-tracking systems to improve platform stability.
• Automate repetitive tasks like report generation using Google Apps Script or Python.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science qualification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Own transport.
• Laptop.
• Reside in Cape Town.
• Committed to a minimum of 2 days of work per week in the office (remainder can be done remotely).
