CANDIDATE LEGAL PRACTITIONER (CANDIDATE ATTORNEY)
Klopper Jonker Inc. situated at 1st Floor Terrace Building, 1 Eaton Terrace, New Redruth Alberton requires the services of a candidate legal practitioner (candidate attorney) from 3 February 2025.
What is expected from the Candidate:
- Opposed and Unopposed court appearances in various Magistrate Courts.
- Drafting of various documents including pleadings, notices, letters, contracts, wills, agreements, heads of argument etc.
- Consultations and/or meetings with clients, advocates, opponents etc.
- Service and filing of documents.
- Indexing and paginating of office and court files.
- Research of legislation, case law and other information.
- General office and support functions to all departments in firm.
Candidate Requirements:
- LLB degree (all requirements for LLB degree have been met by the candidate by December 2024)
- Fluent in English which includes excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
- Dynamic with an eagerness to learn, self-disciplined and the ability to work in a proactive manner without constant supervision.
- A quick learner with an ability to follow instructions.
- Must be articulate, professional and able to work within deadlines.
- Work as part of a team, approach each task with enthusiasm, deliver work of a high standard and seizing every opportunity to learn and grow in experience.
- Candidate must be based in Gauteng.
- Must have valid Driver’s License.
