Program Overview:
- Program Name: Graduate in Training
- Learning Model: Based on the 70:20:10 Model of Learning and Development:
- 70% Hands-on Experience: Most of the time will be spent working directly with ABB’s products and systems.
- 20% Asking Questions: Interaction with industry experts and leaders who will provide career guidance and insights.
- 10% Classroom Learning: Formal training through online platforms and in-person classroom sessions.
- Focus Areas:
- Development of both Hard Skills (technical knowledge) and Soft Skills (communication, leadership, and adaptability) to thrive in any work environment.
For the 2024/2025 Intake, we are looking for graduates in the following areas:
Available Training Areas:
- Electrical Engineering: You will get exposure to the Testing of Switchgear on all areas; Primary, Secondary, Modular and commissioning, you will also be exposed to working with electrical and mechanical designs for switchgears.
- Mechanical Engineering: You will get exposure to basic design, draughting, electrical and mechanical workings of Electrical Motors.
- Control and Instrumentation: Exposure includes working with Control Systems, Field Instrumentation and Actuators. And the Design and Commissioning of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Industrial Engineering: You will get exposure and learning from our Factory Operations, Time Studies and Process Improvements.
- Computer Engineering: Exposure across the business to drive the development and promotion of the 4th Industrial Revolution – ABB Ability
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s, BTech, or BEng Degree in;-
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Creative problem-solving and innovation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills paired with leadership qualities.
- High self-confidence and a passion for learning.
