Job Purpose:
Montego Pet Nutrition has available General Worker positions in Free State and Eastern Cape.

General Worker (Drivers Assistant)
Location: Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa
Job Overview:
To assist with the loading and offloading of Inbound and Outbound Stock.
Responsibilities:
- Load and off-load of products to suppliers and customers, following Offloading procedures.
- Ensure that no damaged stock get delivered and load returns.
- Support the driver during trips, ensure that documents etc. are in order before each delivery.
- General cleaning and tiding of the vehicle.
- Stack and assist with the picking of stock.
- Ensuring that the correct stock is off loaded.
- Identify health and safety hazards and implement corrective and preventative measures.
- Any other reasonable duties which are related or directly impact the designated areas of responsibility or service.
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and PDP may be advantageous
- Proven relevant work experience
- Knowledge of the various Montego products will be advantageous
- Effective listening and verbal & written communication
General Worker (Mechanical)
Location: Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Job Overview:
To assist the Fitters and Maintenance Manager with their daily maintenance functions.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform maintenance tasks such as spray painting shelving, basic welding, and grinding of tiles.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance checks, including fixing air and water leaks, replacing bearings, and inspecting silos.
- Conduct repairs on the Extruder and Dryer of Nerak elevator buckets.
- Clean and maintain coating machinery.
Hygiene, Housekeeping, and Occupational Health and Safety:
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Food Safety Standards (FSSC 22000).
- Identify and address health and safety hazards.
- Report hazards or risks to management.
- Maintain personal hygiene standards.
- Keep the working area clean and tidy.
- National Senior Certificate (NQF 4) or equivalent
- Relevant technical qualification or certification.
- Experience in maintenance and repairs.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
