About the Opportunity:
VKB Commercial Services is currently recruiting General Workers for various operations within the GWK Retail and NTK divisions. Successful candidates will provide general support services, assist with stock handling, maintain housekeeping standards, and support daily operational activities within retail and mechanisation environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide general support services.
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Assist with loading and offloading of stock.
- Handle stock control and stock movement activities.
- Assist customers and suppliers where required.
- Perform shelf care and cleaning services.
- Support security and loss control initiatives.
- Handle irrigation materials and equipment where applicable.
- Carry out mail handling duties.
- Perform general labour-related tasks assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Grade 10 minimum (Grade 12 preferred for Cradock position).
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 qualification for NTK positions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Previous retail, warehouse or agricultural experience will be advantageous.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and team-oriented.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
