The division produces a range of products that can be described as soil conditioners and biostimulants. A broad customer base has been developed and well established since inception in 2013. The company continues to expand its reach into various key targeted segments in Agriculture (Row Crops, Coatings , Soil conditioners , Foliar formulations , Seed Dressings ) in addition to imminent entry into the Animal Feeds sector. The rest of South Africa, Africa and potentially Asia and beyond awaits.
Accordingly, as part of this exciting expansion and growth, interns are required to support various R&D, product development and support initiatives for the current key market sectors and then to focus on the development of a product focused marketing plan for the key new sectors .
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated and qualified interns to join our team and contribute to the commercial development of biostimulants in agriculture. As an Agricultural Biostimulants Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and actively participate in projects that aim to optimize crop performance, improve soil health, and promote sustainable farming practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research on biostimulants, their applications, and their impact on crop growth.
- Analyse market trends, competitor products, and regulatory considerations in the biostimulant industry.
2. Product Development Support:
- Collaborate with our research and development team to support ongoing biostimulant product development initiatives.
- Assist in conducting field trials and experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different formulations.
3. Customer Engagement:
- Work closely with the commercial team to understand customer needs and market demands.
- Participate in customer meetings and presentations to gain insights into the practical applications of biostimulants in agriculture.
- Visit farmers to understand their challenges.
4. Data Management:
- Collect, organise, and analyse data from field trials and experiments.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarising findings and recommendations.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about regulations and guidelines related to biostimulants in different markets.
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program in;-
- Agriculture,
- Biology,
- Agronomy,
- Or a related field.
- Strong interest in biostimulants, sustainable agriculture, and environmental science.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
