Overview:
Cerebos is urgently recruiting two Analytical Chemistry Interns for a 12-month programme at IDZ Coega. The roles focus on routine chemical analyses, solution preparation, equipment calibration, quality control, and strict adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyse chemical samples accurately.
- Prepare and standardise chemical solutions.
- Calibrate and verify laboratory equipment daily.
- Record, report, and interpret results per SOPs.
- Perform product inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Dispose of waste in line with SHEQ procedures.
- Monitor lab stock levels and maintain housekeeping.
- Participate in required training/meetings.
- Follow reasonable instructions to support operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12.
- National Diploma or Degree in Analytical Chemistry.
- Knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Key Competencies:
- Strong numeracy and precise measurements.
- Effective problem-solving ability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a team within a dynamic lab environment.
