The Draughtsman Intern is responsible for supporting the sales team on proposals and pitches for customers, by working closely with the sales and projects team to understand the customer needs and providing necessary schematic and artist impression drawings and layouts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This function includes but is not limited to:
- Develop and produce detailed drawings and plans to support the sales and projects team(s).
- Collaborate with the Brand & Facilities Manager to translate design concepts into actionable drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies throughout the drafting process.
- Maintain and update existing drawings and documentation as
- Assist in the preparation of material specifications and project
- Participate in meetings to refine project requirements and ensure project
- Contribute to technical discussions and problem-solving
- Preparation of graphic design and layout prints for approval on set requirements on customer equipment, houses, sites or for internal Company use.
- Create schematic and layout drawings for house designs according to specifications provided by the sales reps to visually represent the designs and concepts to clients.
- Draft specific layout details to ensure all parties involved with projects have a good understanding of how the final product should look.
- Develop and create site layouts and 2-D view drawing detailing house and equipment layouts for use in quote presentations.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with salespeople and customers as may be required.
Qualification and/or Experience Requirements:
- Matric
- Experience or relevant qualification in Draughting or Engineering
- Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS
